Panasonic SC-HTB520 is a good sound system for the price, but more HDMI would have made it even better. ARC is not the same because you send only stereo out of the TV. I might try the optics, but I do not feel like buying another cable, because this is the problem that HDMI was suppose to solve.
Setup was a breeze and the woofer does a good job with arms. But something is missing midrange, but this is expected from a system like this. The sound is much better than many of SoundBars I tried in this price range. Ideal size of the room that you would use for this is 10×12 or something smaller…
