Samsung UN46D8000

I bought Samsung UN46D8000 TV and it came with a bright green pixel frozen. I made arrangements for Amazon to replace it. After exchanging cumbersome and annoying out of TV because of a bad third-party service delivery Amazon used to handle this situation, the second came and worked hard for about two weeks. But now it is intermittent bands around the upper quarter of the screen, so the upper quarter is shaded differently than the rest of the picture, making it unwatchable. The bandage comes and goes, so I’m not sure what to do. Can I watch TV for an hour and the bandage develops, and do not go away, but the next day goes well and then maybe on the third day of banding appears again. I think it’s too late to return it to Amazon, and if I came to Samsung service and the band is not there at that time I will be out of luck.
This is probably a software problem and that they have released a couple of updates since I bought (I connected to my broadband connection), so maybe it will be resolved, but I spent nearly two large on a piece of shit. Shame on Samsung. I had excellent Panasonic televisions in the past and not buy another Samsung..
