The DEWALT DCD970KL drill was great for the first few months, but many questions arrised. When using the drill with a tip nut setters in the opposite direction loosens the chuck and the bit falls. Then the switch does not change the speed faster. Too bad the quality of Dewalt tools is going down. The plastic parts and metal just does not cut it cheap for everyday use. Go to Milwaukee, is a better instrument built. Dewalt is just a Black & Decker.

The main reason I gave it 3 stars is this fact is really a simplistic saw in comparison to others available on the market. For example there’s no clamp. You can purchase a clamp with quick release for any mere $75 plus another $6 in shipping. That’s one clamp that’s incorporated with almost every other saw free of charge. (Two clamps $150) You can include a laser system – $84 however the testers say it does not work nicely and to order the job light that cast a shadow line for just $43.

After I got the clamp and work light I’d added $130 towards the cost of the base unit. You can include extra time to each side for an additional $80 however they don’t retract and wobble based on reviews. I passed. Basically had know before hands I possibly could might have added up and in comparison with other saws within the same bracket -so rather than a $210 I wound up having to pay $340 -completely different proposition (would of been over $500 with 2 clamps and extensions). You can aquire a Ryobi with brought, 2 clamps, mattress extensions, etc for $149. Dewalt allows face the facts the $80 for that clamp actually was a scam…I stored the saw but wasn’t pleased to have my pockets selected…

I ran a beach at high volume operation, and we only set the dewalt 18v holes for umbrellas. Now, my staff is very protective of their equipment, but it really beat the crap out of these things … 5 at a time, day after day. Salt air, rain, sand, etc. 365 days a year. I recently bought my 2 new drill as many years, I have some that are pushing three years with the maintenance of just being a little ‘lubricant spray once a week or so.

Every last part of DEWALT DC720KA is comfortable, well designed, and above all, reliable. My staff is ready to take for granted and almost shocked if one has a problem. My opinion is that the transmission of all metal is just the best in the industry. I tried the others, well that is supposed to competing brands, but simply can not account for more than 4-6 months. The batteries and chargers last forever, so once you buy one, if you somehow need a replacement you can buy the tool strip for about $ 75. There is a reason for each sales professional who uses Dewalt see the station as well. Simply the best, I do not use anything else..

My girlfriend and I recently moved into a new, massive place that needed a lot of work. The rent was affordable, but I needed to invest a lot of time in setting up to make DEWALT DC725KA more livable. Health had decades of calcification and oxidation, furniture was all wrong, the doors were crooked, the door handles difficult … all hardware (screws, bolts, and-have-you) is “locked”. Although I could have wandered through the use of hand tools I had as ratchets, wrenches, screwdrivers, hammers and prybars, I would have taken many a weekend (and insults) to address all issues. I managed to do most of them in one, saving me a lot of time.

Now wait, wait a minute. I know that in the midst of all this verbiage, can seem all that was needed was a driver cordless power of any brand to make my task easier, but it is here where the DeWalt excelled compared to other, cheaper drill / driver I’ve used in the past:

+ Power: A lot of torque for a cordless
+ Comfort: While relatively light, the body absorbs a lot of shots and power through it.
+ Easy: The ratcheting keyless chuck is easy to use. I will never use a keyed chuck again (Why can not I Dremel rotary tools, and other manufacturers to adopt this?).
+ Inexpensive: this is very high quality while being very convenient. I used a lot less gutless cordless drills, and some of the most expensive. The most expensive were nice, but there is a rate of diminishing returns for people like me who do not use these tools every day. The DeWalt is the best cost / quality / utility for me.
+ Batteries: They look good enough for the job. I am not able to take them down, although I believe that their smaller size would be limited time to run to someone who needs to use the non-stop all day.
+ Control: A lot of granularity in the settings of torque
= I do not know how useful the LED is but I like it there.
= The clip that holds the screwdriver included | little ‘fall flat easily.

Worth every penny. DEWALT DCK266L are great! Very lightweight and a lot of power.

Batteries: The batteries last a little ‘and until they are in constant use you will never run them both down at the same time, given that it only takes 30 minutes to load them. You would not believe how incredibly light batteries are! Can I buy the full lithium-ion since these are so light, it can not be much heavier and last longer, even if it takes an hour for a fee. Not bad to have 3 batteries to power multiple tools and when I’m working with a partner. Note: When the battery is dead, it just stops working. There is never a slowdown in the instrument in a way that takes you by surprise.

Drill: 2 Speed ​​power-hungry. I do not know if I would ever need a drill with more power, and if I did, I would just use my wired heavy duty hammers. I think that the function of a hammer on the drill should only be used on masonry and concrete, but I found it useful when you are on a ladder or hole above your head and can not get enough power behind the drill. I’ve heard others use the function of a hammer for driving screws, it works similarly impact the driver, but I have not tested since I have the driver impact.

Impact driver: The driver is so light with a lot of power. I recommend getting an extension or a little ‘long for those places and keep close at hand. Both drivers also have LEDs to light up where u are working that lights up when you press the trigger, the thought of the LEDs have been unnecessary, but they are very useful.
I recommend getting the Dewalt drill holster as well..

DEWALT DC759CA

I have a DEWALT DC759CA 18V kit, and I was very disappointed with their quality and price. If you look around, Dewalt charges almost twice as much as all the other manufacturers charge for the batteries! This can be very costly in the long run. Take a razor and razor blade approach to their instruments to sell the batteries too expensive.

I also find that the duration of their nickel-cadmium batteries are not even close to what I get with drills or Makita Festool. Do not be fooled by their initial price, look elsewhere.

Another comment. If you do not need a Cordless Sawzall, I would consider only get a drill and impact driver kit. If you are using a straight saw heavy construction or being demolished, I think you will find that the battery life and lack of power becomes annoying fairly quickly.

DEWALT DCF815S2

Having used a multitude of different exercises battery powered drivers over the years, I can honestly say DEWALT DCF815S2 is easily the BEST “all around” winner. My main job is HVAC service / installation of equipment and general services. My brother and I used a couple of days the DCF815S2 Dewalt for the last 2 months. As a driver, “impact” style, creates the power to remove rusty fasteners meet every day with ease! We found the trigger Variable speed is so thin and sensitive (0 to 2.450 rpm!) That eliminates the need for an adjustable clutch once you get the feeling for its use. Not having to set the clutch, the driver is much faster to use and more compact so it fits in tight places. Hex shank drill bits using, it has plenty of power and tip speed of things we encounter. My last challenge for this driver was using an adapter with a little Chuck ‘small masonry to mount a disconnect on the side of a house.

The driver had enough power to drill the mounting holes in the municipality mortar between the bricks! The time between one battery charge is incredible! (I think all cordless tools in general, have benefited greatly from the elegance of Technology LiIon) My brother and I like DCF815S2 driver is a bit ‘more every day, and I wonder how we ever got along without it . If it broke tomorrow by our heavy use, I would go get another one! PS. I also have the Dewalt DCL510 LED flashlight that uses the same battery as the driver, and the tool Dewalt DG5582 bag, both are fantastic!. The bag is just a little ‘bigger than the others I’ve used the same style..

The DEWALT DW682K looked good in the store, but I was a little ‘disappointed. The machine needs a soft-start the engine to avoid jumps when you pull the trigger.
